Outside, the plants are going
(or have gone)
to sleep for the winter.
Things with leaves have generally
lost their crop of leaves for the winter.
If you live in a moderate or warm
climate, you may not be familiar with this
pattern.
Now that November is coming to a close,
the sky is big and dramatic. No leaves of
trees to block your view.

Inside, we have houseplants. Plants that
can flower all year long and not get naked for
winter.
My houseplants, however, aren't really
all that ..... dressy right now.
