being alone, working alone

"In my isolation I grow stronger,"

"My work is always better when I'm alone
and follow my own impressions,"
said Claude Monet.

"If the artist is serious he must sink himself in solitude,"
said Edgar Degas.

Sometimes, working alone is fantastic.
i recently signed up for a painting workshop.
it was .... a lot different than i was expecting.
and it confirmed for me, that this is a good
time for me to be working and creating alone.
