Be with yourself

"I am now quite cured of society,
be it country or town.

A sensible man
ought to find

sufficient company in himself."

(Emily Bronte)

I truly believe that there are times
when you need to work on your own.
This is not to say that you don't need friends
or companionship.

The ability to work on your own
can help you sort out your thoughts,
your training, your pathway. To apply
what you've learned and what you know.
Working in a group is a wonderful
opportunity. i believe it's important
to be able to work to your own beat when
you most need to.

I am very comfortable on my own. I have always wondered if it was because I am an only child. I don't really know, but I enjoy the peace of times spent alone. By the way, I love your poodle, that is what drew me to your blog to begin with. I hope he had a nice birthday! Twyla

I love being on my own as well (another only child!) And recent events tell me I work better on my own too. Hope life feeling better.

Aha ... maybe this "only child" status is a big clue for why some of us are just perfectly fine on our own.

I always love the quotes you find Nadine and this one about working on your own in particular. I love company, but I work much better on my own.
Lovely to have you on form!

Forgot to mention I was brought up as an 'only child' too. I did have a lovely half-brother who lived with my GM.
