Action ... more than we'd imagined

Zoom. Swish.

There has been more action around the
Poodle domicile than i had expected.

There is unwelcome construction going on
behind our house. This comes complete with lots of noise,
large machines, big trucks and lots of earth-moving.
Earth-moving in two senses:
the earth is being moved around to build
an arena (groan) and
the ground is moving enough that our
whole house is shaking. It's quite
unpleasant of course.

Also, this week, the Knitting Companion
and i have had an SOS-Mary Poppins situation.
We packed up to house sit &
act as temporary Nanny-team.

We're back at home now & the Companion
is definitely tired out from the excitement
of our shared adventure.

The next few days will be
busy with preparations for next week's
conference in denver.

I've received
at least six emails with questions
to answer or tasks to complete
before i go. (ew, homework ... !)

And i've received the yarn for the
fingerless gloves that i'm going
to make for my Grandma.
Of course, i cannot find
my pattern notes from the
already completed pairs of Fetching.
This is Murphy's Law in Fine Form.
(and unwelcomed as ever).

On a more peaceful note,
the yellow Pompom flowers
in the garden are still full of cheer.
They've been pummelled by several rain
storms and have worked
valiantly to maintain their upright position.

Bravo.
