Einstein.

Do you know
London-wul, in New Brunswick, Canada?
You should, London-wul is the
brainchild of Heidi & Arnold.
I have yet to visit their terrific shop,
but i've heard marvellous things.

Heidi also has a blog.
Maybe you've seen it already.

Heidi has decided to host a Knit-along:
Sally Melville's Einstein Coat.

Have a look at Heidi's
entry for December 15, 2006
(entitled Swatchy swatch,
if you're checking her sidebar)
to see the link for Extra info/Q & A's (from Sally herself)

about the Einstein Coat.
This pattern is from Sally's book:
The Knit Stitch: Inspirations & Instructions.

I had entertained the idea of the Einstein
coat for quite a while ....
Usually i don't knit "large" projects.
(not even medium size projects).
A coat is a practical & fun idea,
but a huge chunk of time.
(who doesn't want a little coat
called "the einstein coat"!?)

So after all, i've decided to
join in with Heidi & the other Einstein
knitters.
What better way to tackle a "first time
jacket" than with a knit along.
I don't have the yarn yet.
But finally, i've made the decision.
I'm going to use a curly Mohair.

London Wul definitely provided me with an extra "happy place" while I was at Home (but away from home) over Christmas. I know my brief visit there on Christmas Eve made all the difference. :)

Can't wait to see your Einstein Coat develop -- and thanks for your comment earlier today/yesterday!
