Sky views

more views
from my visit to the Island of Shetland,
Scotland.

You can tell now, that i
enjoy dramatic skies.

More from Shetland

These two images
make me think of water colour
paintings.

Just how was it ?

a drive across the isle ...

Yes, it really
was this windy. Better to have short hair if you live on
Shetland, no ?

some views ....

Both views from the isle of Shetland, Scotland

Here are some of my
favourite images from
my trip to Scotland.
One thing that i enjoy so much
about them - is that they are
so different from the landscape i see everyday.

Through art ....

Robert Henri said:

"Through art, mysterious bonds of
understanding and of knowledge are established.
They are the bonds of a great brotherhood.
Those who are of the brotherhood
know each other
and time and space cannot separate them."

On the needle ....

Today i've been working with needle and
thread. Not that i've taken up a new job
or past time, instead i
am integrating something
a little different into some jewellery.
Admittedly, i'm not used to this sort
of thing & my eyes are feeling taxed.

Following the textile theme of the
day, did you know that the Textile Society
is having a (very big) symposia
in toronto, ontario Canada

in October?

and, have you seen the new issue ("fall 2006")
of Vogue Knitting yet ?

Monday

A note about the cat:
No.
She doesn't live here: she lives with my

parents and my grandmother.
I'm allergic to cats (and most everything else).

The Knitting Companion has a busy
day lined up.
He's going to help me with a new
project. One that involves an embroidery hoop,
a clothes-line and a trip in a car.

He's had a lovely weekend in the Very-Enjoyable
Montreal weather. Dinner guests, a visit from a
raccoon (not too close) and a sighting of a skunk.
Thankfully the skunk did not find him to be
a threat. I cannot begin to express how relieved i am.
You can click the "skunk" words for photos in case
you would like to see a skunk from
a safe difference.
