(Gregorian, Mayan, Muslim, Tibetan, Chinese etc.)
They're all tied in with the cycles of
heavenly bodies. (Just like the Oscars.)
In one system, this lunar month
(May 27 - June 25) and the time of Full Moon
in particular, (Sunday, June 11) are unusually
auspicious times when whatever we say and
do are hugely multiplied in the future. Shee!
Personally, I'm with Sidney Poitier in
"Lilies of the Field." He didn't believe in God,
but when asked why he helped the nuns, he said,
" It's insurance. To me, life is here on this
earth -- I can't see further, so I can't believe further.
But, if they're right about the hereafter -- I've paid
my insurance." Therefore, play it safe and grab
every opportunity to practice generosity and
kindness because what goes around,
comes around. (Just like the flu.)
