wild weather day

The wind is absolutely wild.
It's late afternoon & the wind is

howling as if we're secretly in "the wizard of Oz". the black & white part of the movie. Even the knitting companion wanted
to come back inside. Everything is icey

and dangerous.
It's a good day to be inside.

Thank you to mme. Kelli Ann for your comments.
i really
didn't think that i'd hear from K.A.
for quite a while.
two boys at home; la belle-famille en plus,
and her
baby is no doubt

humming a little tune before the big birth day.

To answer K's questions about the marmelade:

Yes !
le chef used Seville oranges to make "the" marmelade!

he boils them in a very large pot before
doing
anything else to them. Not a secret recipe at all.

i'll find out though, where the recipe comes from.

Knitting Olympics:
i'm trying to decide what to make.
Mansocks ? (for the chef who only has one
pair of hand knit socks )
or a challenging mitten pattern ...
(which is a
challenge for someone without fair isle experience).
The mittens in question are the
Pirate mittens, that i wrote about earlier this week.

???

I vote for the mittens. The man socks may not contain sufficient colour and excitement, (unless they are purple of course).
