The Knitting Olympics
it's Official:
i've finally decided WHAT
to make for the Knitting Olympics.
Mansocks.
i figured this is the only way my guy will GET
a second pair of socks. and i'm starting to feel
twinges of guilt that he loves his first (and only)
pair so much and he's too polite to hint about a second
pair.
And he'd really like to have more hand knit socks,
but they're just so Not Fun to Knit because they're
as Big as Sweaters.
The first ones seemed to take forever,
since they are (of course) so big.
I really want to make the mittens,
but the Socks will truly be an olympic feat.
(oh, i made a funny).
so i'm considering to actually make Mansocks
from a Mansock pattern.
Have a look at this Thuja pattern from Knitty.
And Linda from the comments :
you're right
about the colours. Must think of a way
to avoid Knitting-without-colour-fun. but
i really think the mansocks are the way to go for the olympics.
maybe i'll start Mittens for Moi in the meantime !
ha !

I like the man socks pattern, I must not let The Man see them, he'll request a pair too! I can't wait for these olympics to start!
