fashion shows can be a lot of fun.
And usually the models
are extremely thin, and of
course, very young.
Recently i had the opportunity
to attend a Donna Karan show.
It was a bit of a surprise to hear
the clothes described as
"made for All Women", yet modelled
on teeny tiny women.
it's not my first time to see a live
fashion show - but a bit of diversity
would have been more appropriate
in this case.
i must get
this cute-dress
off to a tailor.
it has a Hole !
imagine !
and i'm nervous about fixing it myself,
hence the desire for a tailor.
I don't have a sewing machine
and i don't want the mending to show.
and i'm dying to wear the dress.
zoom.
and August is a whole week
past already.
Here in Montreal, it
finished with a terrific,
record-setting
heatwave. Phew.
autumn will be here in two weeks.
and time zips by.
In the meantime, i'm busy
fielding calls about the salad.

for supper when it's 40 degrees celcius.

has been getting a lot of
calls for help with a lettuce salad.
So i have proposed that

has a new book out.
I haven't gone to find it yet.
but i read one of her
earlier books "Sweetness in the belly"
over a year ago.
That book made a big impact on me.
i'm looking forward to checking out her
newest book.
