it's a big week for birthdays.
Happy birthday to my Mom, today!

This week, the Knitting Companion will
be joined by his brother.
It will be a week-long sleep-over party.
Fun all around for curly haired people.
Next month, the standard poodles will
celebrate their eleventh Birthday.

i made some oven "dried" tomatoes this week.
they were delicious and i'll try
this again. Differently.
Thank goodness for hot-house
tomatoes. they're not as wonderful
as local, field tomatoes . . .
but they taste fresh and sweet and
all Tomatoey.
not like plastic tomatoes.

I wish that she lived on my block.

will stroll the neighbourhood.
We're having a domestic day.
Cleaning, washing, fetching groceries.
House errands. Not glamorous
but very important.
And oh, how i miss having
a dishwashing machine !
