a little retail visit
last week, brought these
fishnet tights home.
The Knitting Companion

but i do.

accessory for wintertime

say hello to my new scarf.
It's "recycled" (repurposed ? ) fur,
married with some woven yarn,
to make a terrific, long winter scarf.
it also doubles as a handy
head "scarf" to go over your
ears in an extremely fashionable
way.
it's fabulously warm.
so perfect for a Montreal winter

the weather

and it's snowing.

And snowing & snowing.
We were supposed to have 20cm
today. and the snow fell in earnest.

but it's not our "usual" type of February snow.
this is more like Springtime snow.
(seriously, there is a big difference).
i think it snowed all night long last night, and
every moment of today.
but the temperature has been so close to
the freezing mark that the snow
isn't acting like snow so much,
as it is Mushing-up
like Instant slush, mixed with snow.
All to say, it's very wet and messy out.
And slippery too.

The knitting companion and i got soaked
every time we walked outside today.
Even my fabulous parka got soaked.
sheesh.
and now, it's time to go out again
for another poodle walk.
No Moon gazing

for us tonight. Constant snow means the sky
is not clear for star-searching.
