chin chin

aren't these pretty drinks?
i'm very fortunate that
my resident chef & mixologist
made these (they're not both mine of course)
with great skill.

Have a toast to my Friend David
this weekend, if you might.
He is recovering from some
accidental acrobatics this week.

Here's to a speedy recovery.

just for friday fun. . .

how fun is this?
have a look at this link at Sephora,
it's a page of luscious nail polish shades,
"sephora by Opi" polish, to be exact.
i love the shade titled "it's all about me"
a hot shade of pink
as well as "Note to self"
which is a lovely muted orange shade.
Have a look.

Worthwhile cookbook

Earlier this year, the
at-home chef
bought this hefty cookbook.

I'm pleased to report that
this was a worthy buy.
He's made several dishes
from this (huge, heavy) book
and i like them all.

yum.

thursday, really? ?

how did it get to be thursday already?
i've been messed
up with what day it is,
for two weeks i think.

Trivia for a thursday:

The boy next door is
called Louis.
I think he's at great
risk for his name wearing out
before his eighth birthday.
It gets used an awful lot.

novel.

just finished
another book
by Camilla Gibb.

It was a fast read
and i really enjoyed it.

with a plan.

Cotton knitting updates?
the colourful bunch
of Rowan Hand-knit cotton
skeins
are being used for practical-home-things.

the "Calmer" Cotton. . . still not sure.
Maybe a hat or two.
Thanks to everyone who made
suggestions and queries.

In the meantime,
there are some cute little shoes.
Suede. Brown.
Ok, they're NOT summery
but they are practical and the
Knitting Companion will be
soon a fan of these, when he
realize that
they involve going out with him.

Oysters. that's all i have to say

i love this.

and really?
isn't that how it feels when you're in
the art supply store, the shoe store,
or the Yarn shop?
(or insert your favourite kind of shop here)
The world IS your oyster.

the sky is the Limit

sometimes,

this is how things look. . .
