How did
the day go by so quickly

and i Still
don't have a coffee??

French Press pot advice:
pour hot (from the kettle)
water into the press pot to warm it
up. then use that water to warm
up your cup.

It's
a grey day today: The knitting
companion is enjoying
it heartily by Napping.

Pink Happy Flowers.
Just what we need
for a Thursday.
ok, they're not "real"
flowers, but i've stopped
being fussy about
Only Liking REAL Flowers.
It's January and
i'll take what i can find.

And tonight, the
Knitting Companion and i will
be receiving a visitor. We're
really looking forward
to having company.

polka dots to cheer a January day

Some pretty, cheerful polka dots.

i think that January

(being a cold month of Winter)
is a terrific time to
knit a warm hat or two.
must get to work on that. The
Knitting Companion has
been very good at
his job as Supervisor and
Editor to all knitty things.
and he is especially fond
of Long naps on
these grey days.

Wash day

Wash day.

and it's bittersweet to realize
that all of your favourite socks
are NOT the ones you have
knit for yourself.
the Favourites are
the ones that some one else
has hand knit for You.
Thank you to Mona
who makes the Greatest
socks on earth.
Truly.

oh. boy.
i tried the torrone today.
and it's fabulous!

Last week had enough
unexpected drama to last
me for a while.
I am pleased to tell you
that today's excitement
includes Laundry and
making soup. Really,
that suits me just fine.

including some teeny tiny little oranges.
I've heard they are delicious and sweet.
Bonus ! they are easy to peel.
I think they're so cute and make
a lovely table decoration.
