some things of california

Yesterday i went to the Cowgirl Creamery
shop and bought, of course, some cheese.

My new, locally grown

eucalyptus wreath. it smells terrific.

thank you to Paul Newman
for the Fig Newman cookies.
they taste great and they make me laugh.

i still haven't found any pasta shaped like
peace signs yet. I know it exists here, i just
haven't found it.

i couldn't get into the blog
at all yesterday.
Above, you can see the Knitting Companion
having some down time underneath
his Bunny cushion.

i brought in
something for the apartment ...
There seems to be only one place i can
hang it up.

some culture

tomorrow, i will get to see a few houses.
The knitting Companion and i will
be so glad to be out of the Concrete Jungle.
It just can't happen fast enough.

and in the meantime:

Life is much better With chocolate.

Today, i had some culture in my life.
it was a Very Welcome change.
For the first time, i visited the SFMOMA.
It was Much bigger than i expected.
i was very pleasantly surprised.
And surprised, too, for how busy the Museum was
on a Thursday morning.

I had an absolutely delicious lunch at the
Museum's cafe. it's called
Caffe Museo.

I have yet to step into a yarn shop here in the city.
Must work on changing that soon.

it was my first time at a Macy's and i was
looking for rainboots.

I didn't come home with any boots -
but today was a much better day.
And i Did Buy Chocolates.

the best news on wings, on sunday

i went to a ginormous party last night.
tens of thousands of people. No kidding.

but today, i have
different news.
i saw a green hummingbird today.
And it's december. My brain is still
having a hard time wrapping around the
December/no snow concept.
Being in California is So surreal.

the hummingbird was so pretty - and the colour
of a lime.

Oh ! and yes, i do have a coat now.
Thank goodness
.
