snowing

We had some snow today
here in Montreal.
And we
are expecting more for tomorrow.
I don't have snowy
photos for you right now,
so instead you can enjoy
this teeny bit of wool/mohair knitted up
that is resting on the radiator.

ooh & aah! Knit stricken!

Mona,
who is Knit Stricken,

has a fabulous
orange, leather case. it's simply
gorgeous & you must see it.
Go & have a look here:
Knit stricken!: Something Saturday

don't let friends:

Now, i really must find
out where this came from.

It's not for lack of trying.
I found this terrific sign way
before Christmas.

And then, never found it again.

AHA !
found them.
(how did i not
think of this before ? )
it's Knitter's Anonymous.
Yes, really.

Go and have a look at their
very fun site.
(and, there, you can buy
the funniest things).
The "sign" featured above
is available as a postcard
or a bumper sticker.

a bit of Rumi

"First, lay down your head
then one by one
let go of all distractions.
Embrace the light and let it guide you
beyond the winds of desire.
There you will find a spring and
nourished by its sweet waters
like a tree you will bear fruit forever."

Tag ...

Oh, i've
been tagged ... and i must remember
to get to this....

but not today.

Brr: You can say that again

tonight, it will go down to minus 25 degrees
in my fair city
of Montreal
.
with the Wind chill factor, it will be minus 35 degrees.

No matter how
you think of it: this is Very cold.

Brr. it's cold.
But then - that's normal for
our part of the world (at this time
of year) .... unlike the
way this month started out!
