ducks on the lake

This photo, from September,
fills me with a feeling of tranquility.

The leaves in our part of the province
are almost completely off the trees now.
It's starting to look like
winter is right around the corner.

Thanks to my cousine,
i want to share this with you.

November.
Time to get out your mittens
if you haven't already.
The Knitting Companion and i are off
for a walk in the sunshine now.
Then it's back to work.

finally, more photos

finally, i can show you some of the photos.
Above: another pair of Knucks on the way ...

and here is the Knitting Companion having a nap.

And, some
chocolate.
Because every weekend should have
some chocolate.
Especially grey rainy weekends.

Mug of Tea ....

This very generously proportioned
mug was my tea drinking vessel over
the long, grey weekend.
It holds 2 and a half cups of hot tea.

Monday with Sunshine

The sun is shining !

In Montreal, we had a grey & ferociously
windy weekend.

It was a very good weekend for those who wanted to
stay in & drink tea ...
or nap.

Don't seem to be able to put any photos
in the blog - but will show
you as soon as Blogger is willing.

Knucks Knucks

Ok, i'm really late with this boat,
but did you know there's a Knucks
Knitalong ?

Fibre content

The Knitting Companion
and i have managed to get a bit
of Knitting in. Not much, but it's been
fruitful.

Thanks to a great pattern on Knitty,
we now have some fingerless gloves.

I present you:
Knucks!

in a deep, delicious green, seen above,
and a lovely tender grey, below.

Both pair were knit up with Rowan's Wool Cotton.
The pattern actually called for Wool cotton, or
Felted Tweed.
Sadly, i'm horrifically allergic
to the Felted tweed. That just made me mad
because it feels absolutely gorgeous.

a l'heure ...

In Canada we changed to Standard time.
Have you changed your clocks back ?

Speaking of time:
it's time
for some cafe au lait ....

happy Sunday.
