good morning on Saturday

That's my Sewing kit.
I've had it forever, really.
I had some buttons to sew on
this week, and the sewing
kit makes the job a little bit
fun. Memory lane
meets household task.

The Knitting Companion and i
are making a pick up and delivery today.
We're leaving to rent a car, and drive
to the Laurentians. I hope we're back by
supper time.
Maybe we'll find a nice bakery
on our travels.

It's the first day of Autumn.
Officially started this morning.

My lunch partner

Hello to my lunch partner.

He never complains
or hogs the conversation.
Doesn't complain if i'm
not in a chatty mood.
Doesn't complain that i want
to talk about work.
Doesn't mind if his supper
is late or the same as he had last time.

and he never wants to borrow
my tools.

what more could i ask?

the view

Hello to
the wonderful coffee jar
for my italian coffee. Mmmmm.

(hmm, could it be that the blog
will take a photo today ? ? )

And away we go ~

Thursday today, right ?
i'm feeling rather in a whirl & i just can't keep track.

Going to work on my labour intensive
name tags today. they're made of sterling silver.

First i drill holes in them.
then file the holes with a teeny round file.
then i polish them.
and then i stamp my name in them.
they're 10 mm long.

I'm looking forward to coffee time today.
and, i would show you some nice
photos right here, but the Blog is
being nasty about adding
Photos. Again.

Hopefully, tomorrow will be
better for getting the photos in.
(arghhh)

Can you see me now ?

Wow.
that was scary.

Yesterday, after writing my post, the
blog seemed to have wiped itself out.
I checked back a number of times,
and saw the screen, white as snow.
Hopefully, you'll be able to see the words
i'm typing today.

So if you came by and saw All White on
white, my apologies. Hopefully, the
blog will be in a better humour today.

Another day closer

My enormous deadline is looming that much closer.

Today was a goodnews/badnews sort of event.
Very Very Good news
from the gallery: they will help me
with the Nasty Paperwork and the
forms-to-be-filled-out for USA Customs.
Hooray ! ! these forms are
very time consuming, involve
tarif numbers and they're just a big
hassle.
Honestly, Mme Gallery deserves

a big box of chocolates for this.

Badnews part of the day
was a crushing,

evil headache.

the Dinner-angel just made supper.
time to go.

Observations

Today is C's Birthday. (let's
wish her lots of cake)

I share with
you these observations ...

"Observation and study are
necessary to achieve mastery of
light and form."
Andrew Loomis

"In the fields of observation
chance favours the prepared mind."
Louis Pasteur

"Observation and reasoning lead to truth."
Alexis Carrel

Albert Einstein said:
"One of the strongest
motives that lead to art and science
is escape from everyday life
with its painful crudity
and hopeless dreariness."

education

Robert Henri had it right:

"All education must be self-education."

Busy Monday

Of course,
when you're really busy,
more things happen that you need
to attend to. this always happens.
Has something to do with murphy's law
or something. Or Laws of the Universe.
Who knows.

I even got a call from the x-ray lab
and have to go back again.
Aaarghhhhh.

And did you know that this
wednesday is the 20th?
Aaaarrrrgh.
Not sure how that happened,
but i'd really like to find the Pause
button on my calendar.

In the meantime, i've been working
on something large and new.
the Knitting companion was
holding a carpet down
for most of the day today.
You can see how he did it, above.

Sunday

New coffee bowl is working
out very well.
So well, it is time to
get out & buy more coffee.
I have a lot of new work to make,
so the bowl and i are
trying to keep on focus.

Local berries are still around.
How great is that.

also from Georgia

This is for all the pisces,

and this is my own forecast for the week.
Also from Georgia Nicols.
Already,
it's so appropriate, it's scary.

Pisces

(Feb. 19 - March 20)

The planetary lineup for the next month
makes you feel unusually intense about everything.
Nothing is gray. Everything is black-and-white.
Actually, this is a good thing. It's a perfect
opportunity for you to get in touch
with your deeper being. "Helloooo?
Anybody down there?"
Don't worry if you feel a bit compulsive
or excessive about something.
This is totally appropriate right now.
You might even encounter people
who are unusually powerful or intense.
("Hi Darth.") In another vein (different arm)
you're increasingly concerned with
shared possessions and things that
are held jointly with someone else.
"This is my underwear. Puleeze!"

For this week, for all signs

Here, according to Canada's seer of the stars,
Georgia Nicols,
is the forecast for everyone:

Weekly Horoscope:
Sunday September 17, 2006

All Signs: (Eastern Time Zone)

This week the Sun changes into Libra.
(Happy birthday you beautiful people.)
On the whole, this is quite a good week for
business and commerce. It's also a
great time to invest in art, or to buy beautiful things,
or spend money on a vacation.
The pleasure vibes are great! (Yummy - let's all have more fun!)
People easily feel generous with each other.
(This is a good thing.)
Remember: True generosity
is giving what is needed.
That's Buddhist advice; however,
I have just been called an Oyster!
(That's a person who sprinkles
their words with Yiddishisms.)
Oy vey! (Ya think?)
