advice from the
Knitting Companion
regarding this week's heat wave:
1. don't stay outside any longer than you have to.
2. lay down. Preferrably in front of a fan.
3. If possible, lay down with your toys.

hot dog having a dream:
The past few days have been
ultra hot here in Montreal.
Too hot for the Knitting Companion or myself
to feel comfortable out of doors,
or indoors for that matter.
The Companion has taken to sleeping on the floor in front of the
fan for large portions of the day.
Who could blame him?
it's been too hot to use the computer. i tried yesterday,
but my fingers kept sticking to the keys.
it's been a good week for popsicles,
ice cream, ice cubes, fresh field tomatoes
and cucumbers.
and the bathtub.
not necessarily in that order.
although it's too hot here
right now to be wearing wool/mohair
socks ....
I had knit a pair of
very warm socks for later in the year.
they have now been
presented to a dear friend
in honour of her birthday.
today, Blogger doesn't seem to be in the
mood to upload even a single photo.
Hopefully tomorrow will be a phot0-option
day.
today marks the end of July. it's
gone by too quickly.
I have a wheel-barrow full
of deadlines and commitments for the
month of August.
Join me now in a deep breath, before
i get back to work.
