up on the roof . . . .

Recently, there has been a raccoon
trying to move in to Chez Knitting Companion.
A Roof-Top Expedition was arranged to see
what roof top damage has been done.

The Knitting Companion and i were
the official ladder-holders and tool-fetchers
for the Team of Ladder Climbers.
Of course, this means that we'll be taking
a trip to the hardware store, to obtain
more suitable supplies.

For now, it's time for a little drink ...

Happy Springtime from the kitchen.
I love the way the sunlight
pours into the kitchen when spring

time comes around.
time for some espresso.

The Knitting companion had his hair cut yesterday.
This morning, he's had a very long and social walk.
Social, meaning that he met several of his friends.
He also met a lovely, well-dressed lady along the street.
I think it was love at first sight for both of them.

new on the needles. ...

In spite of having many incomplete projects
on the go ... i've cast on another pair of socks.
The timing was such that i needed something
that did not require counting of any type.
Hence, a new sock has is on the way.

washing up with Soak

it was through this Canadian site, Jacqs Hats,
that i found a wonderful new hand washing liquid for knits.

Soak

Soak is a
"Modern care for fine fibres"
.
Available in three light, clean scents, this product
cleans your garments wonderfully, without any
perfumey fuss. This is a no-rinse product, biodegradable
and phosphate free.
Soak leaves garments smelling
fresh and not perfumed. What a great change !
I bought the "aquae" scent and it's marvellous.

I purchased mine through the website. Ask at your
local yarn shop for Soak, or go through the
easy-to-navigate website.

Soak will be featured in Elle Quebec's May issue,
on newstands now.
