Knit-Glee

Our Knitting Olympic time was made
more exciting than mere words can describe.
the Queen of Dyes came to visit us with a large
basket of woolies.
yarns that begged to be touched (and yes, we
were obliging).
OOOhhhhhh. Aaaaaahhhhhh!!!!

You can see the glee on Mona's face.

My hands were not too steady at this point.
Wool-Excitement got the better of me.

You can say we had a very good time. Very, very good.

No photos of K's Olympian project at this time.
We definitely
need daylight to record this feat.
K's project is not only her VERY first
sweater, but it is in Black. and SO very textured.
Let me tell you that it is beautiful and so very luscious.
Bravo, K!

Why thank you Nadine for the words of encouragement :-) I'm going to try to post a pic of the back later this afternoon.

I missed a Queen of Dyes? Oh crap.

Because, like your knitting companion, I am afraid of falling and it was really not a fab night to get out the car and drive for a half hour in icing rain since I was still recovering from flu, I missed the Olympic festivities. And clearly SO much more. Pie. Espresso. Handdyed yarn. Other people who are participating in total knitting insanity. DAMN.

Who is the Queen of Dyes, anyway? Does she give lessons? ;-)

Really sorry to miss you all!
